Saturday.  Your Alberta Circle adventure begins as you are welcomed aboard your deluxe coach in Edmonton.  Head south via Red Deer, meeting your travel companions enroute.  Continue to the town of Drumheller, the Dinosaur Capital of the World, where you can dig into the exhibits at the world-class ROYAL TYRRELL MUSEUM OF PALEONTOLOGY.  With one of the largest displays of dinosaurs in the world, this is the only museum in Canada that focuses on ancient life.  Spend the night at the centrally located Quality Hotel.

2

DRUMHELLER to LETHBRIDGE:

(3 nights) Sunday.  Begin your day with a photo stop at THE HOODOOS, unusual pillars of rock formed by erosion.  Make the trek to Vulcan, landing at the STARSHIP ENTERPRISE MONUMENT, a replica from the Star Trek V movie. Roll on through the open spaces of southern Alberta to Lethbridge for a three-night stay at your hotel, the Sandman Signature Lethbridge Lodge.

3

LETHBRIDGE:

Monday.  This morning, carry on to Cardston to see the REMINGTON CARRIAGE MUSEUM before continuing to WATERTON LAKES NATIONAL PARK, a rare gem located in the southwestern corner of Alberta.  The park features a small, picturesque village, majestic towering cliffs, unique geological formations, beautiful waterfalls and snow-clad mountain peaks.  A DRIVING TOUR includes the historic Prince of Wales Hotel and Cameron Falls followed by a scenic BOAT CRUISE along the shoreline of Upper Waterton Lake.  Leave the mountains behind as your motor coach returns to Lethbridge for overnight.

4

LETHBRIDGE:

Tuesday.  This morning, experience what life was like in the late 1800s as you explore FORT WHOOP-UP, a replica of an original fur trading fort built in the late 1800s.  Change gears with a visit to the NIKKA YUKO JAPANESE GARDEN.  As you stroll through the serene setting, the combined harmonious elements of Japanese and Canadian cultures will leave you with a sense of peace and relaxation.  This evening share memories with your travelling companions at an INCLUDED DINNER.

5

LETHBRIDGE to CALGARY:

Wednesday.  The first stop today will be the FORT MUSEUM of the North-West Mounted Police in the town of Fort Macleod.  Travel a short distance to the HEAD-SMASHED-IN BUFFALO JUMP, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that preserves and interprets over 6,000 years of Plains Buffalo culture.  After lunch, drive along the historic COWBOY TRAIL through the Rocky Mountain Foothills.  In the afternoon, visit BAR U RANCH NATIONAL HISTORIC SITE, located near Longview.  Discover ranching life from the late 1800’s – a true Albertan experience.  Make an interesting stop at the OKOTOKS ERRATIC, an enormous boulder that was carried from the Rocky Mountains near Jasper by glacier over 10,000 years ago.  Finish your day at the DoubleTree by Hilton Calgary North, located in the renovated historic Crossroads building.

6

CALGARY to BANFF:

Thursday.  An exciting day is in store as you step back in time at HERITAGE PARK HISTORICAL VILLAGE, Canada’s largest living history museum.  Get a birds-eye view of the park from the Ferris wheel at the antique midway, ride on a steam train, sail on a paddle steamer or browse through the indoor two-level Gasoline Alley Museum that features a rare collection of vintage vehicles, gasoline pumps, signage… and more!  Depart Stampede City and travel through the scenic foothills into the grandeur of the Rocky Mountains, stopping to rest in the friendly, relaxed atmosphere of the Banff Park Lodge.

7

BANFF to HINTON:

Friday.  While enroute this morning, watch for wildlife as you motor along the BOW VALLEY PARKWAY and view the breathtaking scenery between Banff and Jasper on one of the world’s most spectacular highways – the ICEFIELDS PARKWAY.  Following a DRIVING TOUR of Jasper, continue to the Hinton Holiday Inn for your last night.  Enjoy a HOSTED FAREWELL DINNER with your fellow travellers.
