Edmonton to Red Deer to Saskatchewan River Crossing

Monday. Your Circle Tour of the Rocky Mountains begins as you are welcomed aboard your deluxe coach in Edmonton. Travel south to Red Deer meeting additional travel companions enroute. Head west into the foothills and arrive at the ROCKY MUSEUM in Rocky Mountain House. Showcasing the history of the pioneers who homesteaded the area, this museum includes historic buildings and displays to catch your imagination of living in the pioneer times. After lunch, follow the fast-flowing North Saskatchewan River into the Rocky Mountains. The David Thompson Highway will be your route, named after the famous explorer and fur trader employed by the North West Company. Continue to Saskatchewan River Crossing for overnight surrounded by mountains at The Crossing Resort.

Saskatchewan River Crossing to Jasper

Tuesday. Included BUFFET BREAKFAST. Head north on the ICEFIELDS PARKWAY to experience one of the world’s most spectacular highway drives as you head into JASPER NATIONAL PARK. The largest of Canada’s mountain national parks, you will want to watch for wildlife and all the scenic sights on this highway. Take the trip of a lifetime onto the Athabasca Glacier at the COLUMBIA ICEFIELD ADVENTURE. Prior to an early arrival in Jasper, visit scenic ATHABASCA FALLS. Overnight at Chateau Jasper with time to explore on your own.

Jasper to Edmonton to Red Deer

Wednesday. Included BUFFET BREAKFAST. One more amazing vista awaits this morning as you stop for a scenic viewpoint at the deepest canyon in Jasper National Park, MALIGNE CANYON. As you head home, many memories of your short trip come to mind as you say goodbye to your new-found friends. Return to Edmonton and continue to Red Deer.
