Edmonton to Calgary to Cranbrook

Wednesday.  Your Northern California Vacation begins as you are welcomed aboard your deluxe coach in Edmonton.  Meet your travel companions as you travel south via Red Deer to Calgary.  Lethbridge passengers boarding the coach in Fort Macleod will be dropped off in Lethbridge on the return trip.  Continue to Cranbrook, BC for overnight at the St. Eugene Golf Resort & Casino.

Cranbrook to the The Dalles

Thursday.  Arrive at the Canadian/American border and travel through the states of Idaho and Washington.   Cross the mighty Columbia River and travel a short distance to The Dalles, Oregon for overnight at the Fairfield Inn.

The Dalles to Crescent City

Friday.  Continue through the state of Oregon.  Enter the Golden State of California and travel through the REDWOOD NATIONAL PARK where the trees are so tall the sun seldom hits the ground.  Overnight at Ocean View Inn in Crescent City.

Crescent City to Ukiah

Saturday.  What a day is in store for you! Delight in the majesty of the giant redwoods as you travel along the AVENUE OF THE GIANTS and the HUMBOLDT REDWOODS STATE PARK. These trees are 2,000 years old and tower as high as 360 feet.  Enjoy a delicious PICNIC LUNCH in the heart of the redwoods.  Overnight in Ukiah, the centre of a flourishing wine region.

Ukiah to San Francisco

(2 nights):  Sunday.  Never-ending vineyards are the backdrop for a magnificent day.  Arrive in San Francisco in time for lunch and shopping at Ghirardelli Square.  Conclude your afternoon with a spectacular San Francisco BAY CRUISE.  Arrive at your hotel for a two-night stay at the Hotel Riu Plaza Fisherman’s Wharf.  Your hotel is conveniently located within walking distance to Fisherman’s Wharf, Pier 39 and the Cable Car Lines.

San Francisco

Monday.  This morning enjoy a GUIDED TOUR of one of the most exciting and best-loved cities in the world.  Your sightseeing excursion includes a ride on a world-famous CABLE CAR and a panoramic view of San Francisco and the bay area from the top of Twin Peaks.  Your tour ends at Pier 39 for leisure time prior to returning to your hotel for overnight.

San Francisco to Virginia City to Reno

Tuesday.  You’ll be humming “I left my heart in San Francisco” as you leave this fascinating city.  Make a brief stop at SOUTH LAKE TAHOE and a visit in historic VIRGINIA CITY before arriving for overnight in Reno, “The Biggest Little City in the World”. Tonight your stay is at the centrally located Circus Circus Hotel, connected by a skywalk to the Eldorado and Silver Legacy Resort Casinos. These three casino resort hotels make up “The Row”.

Reno to Jackpot

Wednesday.  You are on your way to the “fun spot” of Jackpot.  When Idaho outlawed all forms of casino gambling in 1954, two industrious business-owners moved their slot machines just inside the Nevada border to form the town of what is now known as Jackpot. Overnight at Cactus Pete’s Resort Casino.

Jackpot to Great Falls

Thursday.  Travel north across the state of Idaho, enter the state of Montana and arrive in Great Falls for your last evening together at the Holiday Inn.  Share memories with your fellow travellers at a HOSTED FAREWELL DINNER.

Great Falls to Calgary to Edmonton

Friday.  Stop at the duty free store before you re-enter Canada. Return home with fond memories of your holiday.
