Edmonton to Drumheller

Sunday.  Your Badlands Getaway begins as you are welcomed aboard your deluxe coach in Edmonton.  Travel south via Red Deer meeting your travel companions enroute.  Continue to Drumheller, widely considered to be the Dinosaur Capital of the World.  Experience a late afternoon outdoor performance of the award-winning PASSION PLAY.  This epic story of faith, love and hope has been performed in the spectacular Badlands Amphitheatre for over 28 seasons.  After the play, check in at the comfortable Quality Hotel in Drumheller for the night.

Drumheller to Edmonton

Monday. Today is all about dinosaurs!  Visit the world-class ROYAL TYRRELL MUSEUM, Canada’s only museum dedicated exclusively to the science of palaeontology, with one of the world’s largest collections of dinosaurs.  See what’s changed since you were last there, including the display of the best-preserved, most complete Triceratops skull from Canada.  After an INCLUDED LUNCH, stop at THE HOODOOS for photos with the towering sandstone formations.  Heading north, say farewell to your new-found friends on your return to Edmonton.

INFORMATION FROM THE AMPHITHEATRE BOX OFFICE:
The Badlands Passion Play is a 3-hour outdoor performance, including a 30-minute intermission.
Doors open one hour prior to the performance. Although your seat is assigned, please arrive early to enjoy services in the Badlands Arts Centre.
What to bring
We are an outdoor theatre. Please bring:

• a hat
• some water
• a seat cushion for our wooden benches
• sunscreen
• cash for our in-theatre snack carts
• a jacket or sweater
• rain poncho or raincoat

We have some of these items available for purchase in our gift shop and concession stands.
Notes
• Water bottles can be refilled on site.
• No outside food or drink may be brought in, no picnic coolers.
• No umbrellas may be used in the amphitheatre.
• There are some indoor washroom facilities and additional portable toilet facilities.
• Our concession has a variety of meal and snack options. During intermission, concession purchases inside the Amphitheatre are “cash only” to keep the lines moving quickly.
• Souvenir booths are open from 2:30 pm until 4:00 pm and are closed during the play.
