Home Cities to Toronto

Your Exciting Holiday begins as you board your jet and fly to Toronto.  Upon arrival transfer independently to your airport hotel where you have been pre‑registered.  A complimentary AIRPORT SHUTTLE is provided to the Hilton Garden Inn Toronto Airport.  This evening features an informal WELCOME RECEPTION. 


Toronto to Gananoque

Begin your day with a spectacular view of Toronto, Canada’s largest city, from the CN TOWER.  Learn about this sophisticated city while on tour with a local STEP-ON-GUIDE before departing for the popular resort community of Gananoque for overnight.


Gananoque to Ottawa

(2 nights) ‘All Aboard’ and enjoy your morning BOAT CRUISE on the St. Lawrence River through the heart of the 1000 ISLANDS.  After lunch travel to Canada’s picturesque capital for the next two nights.



Start your day with a GUIDED TOUR of PARLIAMENT. A local STEP-ON-GUIDE joins us for a tour of this beautiful city.  Your hotel is conveniently located to give you time to explore the area at leisure after the tour.


Ottawa to Montreal

Travel into Quebec, Canada’s largest province and arrive in Montreal for an afternoon GUIDED TOUR.


Montreal to Quebec City

(2 nights) Marvel at the beauty as you drive through historical villages along the banks of the mighty St Lawrence River and continue to the oldest French settlement in North America. Experience its charm along the narrow winding streets of the only walled city north of Mexico.


Quebec City

Accompanied by a local expert, explore over 400 years of history as portrayed on a GUIDED TOUR of this fortified city. The day includes stops at the famous shrine of STE-ANNE-DE-BEAUPRE and an OLD-FASHIONED BAKE OVEN and cafeteria renowned for its maple butter, while driving Canada’s oldest road. Quebec City to Fredericton

Visit ST-JEAN-PORT-JOLI to see the works of the famous wood-carvers.  Continue into the first of the Maritime Provinces, New Brunswick.  HARTLAND COVERED BRIDGE National Historic Site (longest in the world) is only an introduction to what lies ahead in the unique world of Atlantic Canada.  Arrive in Fredericton for overnight.


Fredericton to Charlottetown

(3 nights) Your morning drive through the rolling hills and dairy region of New Brunswick brings you to MAGNETIC HILL in Moncton where cars coast uphill, or seem to!  Visit the fishing village of SHEDIAC for a photo opportunity with the WORLD’S LARGEST LOBSTER.  Cross the Northumberland Strait via CONFEDERATION BRIDGE to arrive in Prince Edward Island for a three-night stay.  This curved, 12.9km (8mile) long bridge is the longest in the world crossing ice-covered water.  Tonight experience a true “Island Tradition” as our guest at a HOSTED LOBSTER DINNER. With a LOCAL GUIDE see the unique sights of the island including GREEN GABLES HERITAGE PLACE, CAVENDISH BEACH and CHARLOTTETOWN.  This evening choose to be entertained at Confederation Centre of the Arts by Charlottetown’s Canadian Classic Anne of Green Gables – The Musical (optional), or relax on your own.



A FREE DAY to enjoy historic Charlottetown!  Choose to follow the signs and storyboards of ‘tales of old’ while exploring historic Great George Street or watch for cruise ships while wandering the waterfront of Confederation Landing Park.  Tickle your taste buds with one of many local flavours along the way.


Charlottetown to Baddeck

(2 nights):  Travel to Wood Islands and board the FERRY to Caribou on the Nova Scotia mainland.  Drive across the Strait of Canso, the deepest causeway in the world, onto Cape Breton Island.  Continue to the resort town of Baddeck nestled along the shores of the Bras d’Or Lake for a two-night stay. Prior to arriving at your hotel, visit the ALEXANDER GRAHAM BELL MUSEUM to see the many exhibits of this famous inventor who spent much of his life on Cape Breton Island. HOSTED DINNER.

Baddeck to Halifax

(2 nights) Continue your journey to Halifax, Nova Scotia’s capital.  Be impressed by the natural beauty of this harbour-front setting.  Touch a piece of military history with an afternoon visit to the Halifax CITADEL National Historic Site as it comes to life with the sounds and colour of the mid-1800s. No longer a military fortification, today it continues to serve as a majestic window to the past atop Citadel Hill overlooking this ‘city on the sea.’ Arrive at your centrally-located Hampton Inn for two nights.



Your GUIDED TOUR this morning introduces you to Atlantic Canada’s largest city.  The call of the ocean and beauty of the sea will lure you to picturesque LUNENBURG along the south shore of Nova Scotia. Continue to one of Canada’s most popular stops in Atlantic Canada, PEGGY’S COVE.  With its lighthouse sitting on a massive granite ledge, this cove is a mecca for artists and photographers alike. Enjoy a late afternoon visit and optional meal in this very East Coast locale. Return to Halifax for overnight.


Halifax to Saint John

Spread your tiny wings and tour away” while at the ANNE MURRAY CENTRE in Springhill, hometown of Canada’s famous “Snowbird”.  Re-enter New Brunswick and stop in HOPEWELL CAPE, the location of the highest tides in the world.  View the Flower Pot Rocks carved by the Fundy tides.  These peculiar formations are forested islands at high tide and resemble flowerpots at low tide.  Travel through FUNDY NATIONAL PARK and arrive in Canada’s Loyalist City, Saint John. Witness the REVERSING RAPIDS where the Bay of Fundy’s highest tides pour, push and rise into the Saint John River to reverse its direction before you head to your hotel.


Saint John to Levis

Leaving the Maritime Provinces today, retrace your steps along the Saint John River into Quebec.  Marvel at the change in fall colours since making your way east.  Heading upriver follow the highway along the St. Lawrence until stopping for overnight near the bridges to Quebec City.


Levis to Whitby

Following the south shore route through Quebec, bypass Montreal to return to Ontario.  Your overnight will be in the suburban town of Whitby, home during World War II to the top-secret Camp X, a British/Canadian spy training facility rumoured to have trained famous authors Roald Dahl and Ian Fleming.


Whitby to Niagara Falls

Taking the bypass around busy Toronto, head to the Niagara Peninsula area known for its rich farmlands. The special climate of the peninsula makes it perfect for growing soft fruit, including many thousands of acres of vineyards producing grapes for award-winning wines.  Your mid-morning arrival in Niagara Falls allows time to explore the famous Clifton Hill.  After lunch, enjoy a boat ride to the base of the falls with HORNBLOWER CRUISES.  Join your travel companions this evening for a HOSTED FAREWELL DINNER with a panoramic view of the Falls, one of the world’s greatest wonders.
