Edmonton to Calgary to Three Valley Gap

Sunday.  Your Scenic Holiday begins as you are welcomed aboard your deluxe coach in Edmonton.  Travel south via Red Deer to Calgary meeting additional travel companions enroute.  Sit back and enjoy the incredible scenery of the Canadian Rockies.  Cross the border into British Columbia and continue to Three Valley Gap for overnight at the Three Valley Lake Chateau.  Join your fellow travellers for a GET ACQUAINTED WELCOME DINNER.

 Three Valley Gap to Kelowna

(4 nights) Monday. After a morning tour of GHOST TOWN, leave the mountains behind as you follow Shuswap Lake to Salmon Arm.  Head south into the fertile Okanagan Valley, BC’s premier grape-growing region.  Arrive in Kelowna, located on the shores of Okanagan Lake and surrounded by orchards, farms and wineries ranging from small, family-run vineyards to large estates.  After lunch, visit SUMMERHILL PYRAMID WINERY where you can experience WINE TASTINGS of some of their best 100% organic wine.  Your home for the next four nights is the Fairfield Inn, conveniently located near restaurants and shops.  Features daily complimentary deluxe breakfast buffet.

Tuesday.  A morning driving tour of Kelowna will acquaint you with the area. Then venture across the lake for a PIZZA LUNCH and WINE TASTING at the first beachfront winery in North America, FRIND ESTATE WINERY.  Sample smooth wines created on this historic property, once the home of former BC Premier, Bill Bennett.  Bill’s father, W.A.C. Bennett, was the longest serving BC Premier from 1952 to 1973 and the president of the Okanagan’s first winery, “Calona Wines”.

Wednesday.  Start your day with a guided ORCHARD TOUR on board the Johnny Popper Apple Train, with its distinctive exhaust sound.  Then explore the grounds and savour a delicious piece of freshly baked APPLE PIE with ice cream and a beverage.  Return to Kelowna for an afternoon filled with possibilities.  You may want to take a stroll through lovely Waterfront Park, browse through unique galleries and shops, or golf at one of the many courses in the area.  We offer a shuttle to downtown, Playtime Casino, and optional visits to MEADOW VISTA HONEY WINES or THE VIBRANT VINE WINERY, set in the picturesque hills of East Kelowna.

Thursday.  Today enjoy the breathtaking views of shimmering Okanagan Lake enroute to PENTICTON.  West Okanagan Lake is considered the crown jewel of the community’s waterfront with its spectacular boardwalk.  As the motorcoach climbs to THE NARAMATA BENCH, take in the tranquil ambiance while you meander through vineyards and orchards.  Indulge in the ultimate Okanagan wine country experience with a WINE TASTING.  Take time to walk among the vines and soak in the breathtaking view of Okanagan Lake.

Note:  This brochure text was written before the devastating wildfires happened in West Kelowna.  Our sincere thoughts are with all those affected by the fires. Nagel Tours is happy to continue to support the community with our visit.

Kelowna to Golden

Friday.  Leaving Kelowna behind, head to Armstrong to visit a CHEESE FACTORY and a FRUIT STAND before departing the Okanagan Valley.  There is plenty of storage space under your motorcoach for those extra purchases!  Wind your way past rugged peaks, over the majestic ROGERS PASS, and onward to Golden for your last evening together at BW Mountainview Inn.  Share favourite memories from the tour with your fellow travellers at a HOSTED FAREWELL DINNER.

Golden to Calgary to Edmonton

Saturday.  Travel through the renowned Yoho and Banff National Parks, stopping for lunch enroute.  As you head east, watch the terrain flatten out to foothills and ranchland.  Arrive mid-afternoon in Calgary and conclude your journey in Edmonton.

Loved the tour and really enjoyed just packing our bags and leaving all the work to Nagel.  My husband has Parkinson’s so have found travelling burdensome.  Nagel took all the worry away and filled it with fun.

Thank you once again for a very well put together tour.

With COVID I greatly appreciated the extra precautions Nagel put in place.  I felt very safe going and trying it out before booking any other trips.  I love the small group.  Made us spread more which is a bonus to me.  Being so comfortable about the safety you have taken I booked Christmas in Victoria while I was on this tour in Kelowna.
