Winnipeg is the closest city to the Geographic Centre of Canada, and the perfect destination for a four-night stay at the Inn at the Forks, in the heart of Winnipeg. Edmonton to Calgary to Swift Current

Saturday. Your Winnipeg Wonders journey begins as you are welcomed aboard your deluxe coach in Edmonton.  Travel south via Red Deer, Calgary to Lethbridge meeting additional travel companions enroute.  A stop is made in Medicine Hat before crossing the Alberta/Saskatchewan border and arriving in Swift Current, Saskatchewan.  Upon arrival join your fellow travellers at an informal WELCOME MEET and GREET.

Swift Current to Winnipeg

Sunday. (4 nights) Saskatchewan passengers join the tour as you follow the Trans Canada highway into Manitoba. Continue east, arriving in the capital city of Winnipeg, the Gateway to the West, for a four-night stay at the Inn at the Forks, perfectly situated in downtown Winnipeg.

Monday. This morning join a GUIDED TOUR through a vibrant city known for its rich history and diverse culture. Lunch with time to shop and explore is at THE FORKS, a historic meeting place at the junction of the Red and Assiniboine Rivers. The Forks has many shops, restaurants and entertainment venues as well as a market that sells fresh produce and crafts from local artisans. You have a choice this afternoon to visit either the MANITOBA MUSEUM or the CANADIAN MUSEUM FOR HUMAN RIGHTS.

Tuesday. Your day begins with a self-guided visit of the ASSINIBOINE PARK ZOO – home to the JOURNEY TO CHURCHILL EXHIBIT, where visitors have a rare opportunity to view polar bears swimming over your head in a spectator’s glass tunnel. The afternoon features a visit to THE LEAF, a horticultural paradise, and Canada’s tallest indoor waterfall. Travel through four distinct worlds while surrounded in a vibrant display of colour, texture and fragrance. Wander through the outdoor garden at your leisure.

Wednesday. Discover the intricacies and wonders of coin production on a fun and informative GUIDED TOUR of the ROYAL CANADIAN MINT. More than 5.5 billion coins for more than 75 countries have been produced in this state-of-the-art facility. The afternoon is free to do as you choose. Perhaps relax and enjoy the amenities at your hotel. Your Tour Director can help you find optional tours and other activities that interest you. Tonight, gather with your new-found friends for a HOSTED FAREWELL DINNER.

Winnipeg to Moose Jaw

Thursday. Return west to Saskatchewan as you leave Manitoba, the heart of Canada. Continue to Moose Jaw, home of the world-famous Snowbirds aerobatic team. Check in at the Temple Gardens Hotel and Spa. This downtown property includes access to the indoor and outdoor GEOTHERMAL MINERAL POOL and is conveniently located next to Casino Moose Jaw.

Moose Jaw to Medicine Hat

Friday.  Before departing, tour the historic TUNNELS under the streets of Moose Jaw.  Continue dropping off friends from Saskatchewan as you travel to Medicine Hat, also known as the Gas City of Alberta.

Saturday. Return home today with pleasant memories of your travels.
