Edmonton to Calgary to Great Falls

Saturday. Your Summer Escape begins as you are welcomed aboard your deluxe coach in Edmonton.  Travel south via Red Deer, Calgary to Lethbridge meeting your travel companions enroute.  Stop at the duty-free store before entering the USA and arrive at the Holiday Inn in Great Falls, Montana for overnight. Join an informal WELCOME MEET and GREET upon arrival.

Great Falls to West Yellowstone

(2 nights) Sunday. Today we arrive in Yellowstone, the world’s first National Park.  Have your camera ready to capture some of the phenomenal thermal basins as they bubble and spurt into the air.  Overnight at Three Bear Lodge in West Yellowstone, Montana for two nights.

West Yellowstone

Monday. Explore and discover Yellowstone’s dramatic canyons, alpine rivers, lush forests, hot springs and gushing geysers and the awe-inspiring OLD FAITHFUL!   Keep an eye out during your travels for bison, bear, elk and other wildlife.  Return to West Yellowstone with enough time to explore this historic village.

West Yellowstone to Cody

Tuesday. It’s time to say goodbye to Yellowstone, but not before stopping to see the awesome GRAND CANYON of the Yellowstone River. Continue through the Shoshone National Forest where amazing views of mountains, hills and rocks line the roadway prior to arriving in Cody, Wyoming.  Visit BUFFALO BILL CENTER OF THE WEST before heading to your hotel, AmericInn Lodge for overnight.

Cody to Deadwood

Wednesday. Your scenic travels today will take you across the beautiful state of Wyoming to Deadwood, South Dakota.  Re-live the history of Wild Bill Hickok and Calamity Jane as you enjoy your time in Deadwood, a town that is very reminiscent of the wild frontier and mining days.  Arrive at the Mineral Palace Hotel for overnight.

Deadwood to The Black Hills to Spearfish

Thursday. This morning travel through the BLACK HILLS NATIONAL FOREST to visit two of the world’s largest mountain carvings.  Ride the Black Hills Central Railroad 1880 TRAIN, an authentically restored steam engine that transports you back in time, on your way to the MOUNT RUSHMORE NATIONAL MEMORIAL.  Afterwards, travel by motorcoach to the CRAZY HORSE MEMORIAL and continue to Spearfish for overnight at the Fairfield Inn.

Spearfish to Medora

Friday. Travel through the NORTH DAKOTA BADLANDS on your way to Medora, North Dakota for your overnight at the AmericInn by Wyndham.  A fun-filled evening awaits starting with a PITCHFORK FONDUE DINNER where the cooks load rib-eye steaks onto a pitchfork for a giant fondue! Then it’s off to the rootin’ tootin’ MEDORA MUSICAL, the greatest show in all the Midwest.

Medora to Swift Current

 Saturday. Your travels today continue north to the Saskatchewan border as you make your way to the Coast Hotel in Swift Current for overnight.

 Sunday.  Today is “Going Home” day with many memories of your scenic tour.
